As the Seasons change so does the garden. The gardens at Ystrad Mynach currently have 4 gardeners. Andrew, the Head Gardener gives a year round insight as to what we get up to day to day.
The notorious slug population have polished off all but 5 carrot seedings. I am trying the gravel method now, I have sprinkled gravel around the row where the seedings were, hoping to nurture my last few carrots.

Andrew is Head Gardener at BerryFields in Ystrad Mynach, a 20th Century 1960's Detatched Bungalow set in 1/2 acre. The 1/2 acre of formal gardens include herbaceous borders,lawn, herb garden and greenhouse. Andrew is dedicated to the art of traditional gardening.
